(Irina IRIMIA, e-mail: editorasbv@gmail.com ) in electronic version only.
Papers will be published in English, and authors are obliged to submit papers only in English, free of typing errors. Up to two articles per issue are permitted for the same author, no more than one article for the same first author. The authors understand that the manuscripts must not to be under simultaneous consideration by any other publication. Submission of an article for publication implies the transfer of the copyright from the author to the publisher, upon acceptance. Before submission, the authors must read the . If submitting to our journal, the authors agree these rules.
We reserve the right to edit or otherwise alter all contributions, with the approval of authors before publication.
Preparation of the manuscript:
For the graphic uniformity of the volume, please consider followings:
Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft® Word© document format (.doc or .docx).
Page format: custom size: 17/24 cm; margins settings: 2.5 cm top, 2.5 cm bottom, 2 cm left, 2 cm right. All texts must be typed using Times New Roman characters, single spaced. Using other fonts (like Arial) or non-standard fonts (such as Times R or Times New Roman R) is not allowed. For non-European languages please check the compatibility of the characters subset with the European subset before submission.
For all types of papers, the title page must contain and only contain the following: title of paper (bold, 10 pt.); full name(s) of the author(s) (normal, 10 pt.); affiliation for each author (complete name and address of the Institution), and the name and address of the corresponding author with an e-mail address (normal, 10 pt.). It is the responsibility of each author to provide correct affiliation.
Abstract (normal, 8 pt.) of maximum 300 words (but no less than 150 words) should summarize the essential results and conclusions.
Keywords (normal, 8 pt.): all of the manuscripts, including short notes must contain between 3 and 6 keywords.
The text will be partitioned as follows: Introduction, Materials and methods, Results and discussions, Conclusions, Acknowledgements, References. All subtitles must be centered, typed in Times New Roman, bold, 10 pt.
Short Notes should be produced as continuous text, preceded by an abstract of no more than 150 words and keywords.
Latin names (genus, subgenus, species, subspecies) will be written with italic characters; suprageneric names are not written with italic characters. The same procedure is used when they are mentioned within figures, graphs and tables; the first mention of a taxon in the text will be followed by the taxon author’s name, according to the botanical nomenclature code (ex.: Ligularia sibirica (L.) Cass.).
Diacritical marks will be used for the Romanian authors and towns.
Please use the English punctuation signs, namely comma instead of dot and dot instead of comma at numbers in the text, figures, and tables. For example: 25,50 m (in Romanian) = 25.50 m (in English); 1.457 m (in Romanian) = 1,457 m (in English).
For diagrams, use white, black, grey, different tones and hatches. They will not be published in colours.
Images submitted with a manuscript for review should be minimally processed (for instance, to add arrows to a micrograph). All digitized images (JPEG or TIFF) submitted must be of high quality and have resolutions of at least 300 d.p.i. for color, 600 d.p.i. for grayscale and 1200 d.p.i. for line art. It is the author's responsibility to obtain permission to reproduce illustrations, tables, etc. from other publications. If figures (except diagrams) are numerous, they should be grouped in plates on separated pages; the number of the plate (ex. PLATE I) must appear in the top-right position. The explanation of plates (including figures included in plates) must be typed on separated page (after References). Assemble individual photos and drawings into plates so that each plate spans the 13 cm wide text area. The figures and plates must not exceed 13 x 19 cm; all micrographs materials must be accompanied by graphical scale. Never place outside borders around illustration plates or individual photos.
Tables (text Times New Roman, 8 pt., normal) and graphs will be included in text. The legend of the table’s will be written under the table, Times New Roman, 8 pt., normal. Illustrations references (tables, photos, graphs, figures, plates) will be made in the text as it follows: (Fig. 1), (Figs. 1a, b), (Figs. 3; 5); (Table 1). To the photos, the source or the photo's author will be mentioned.
The title of a figure will be centered below the figure; as for tables, put it above, centered, both 9 pt., normal. Examples:
Table 1. The values of some physiological indices for the in vitro regenerants of R. rosea L.
Figure 1b. Dynamics of specimen’s entry in the herbarium collection.References
Citation in text
Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). Unpublished results and personal communications are not recommended in the reference list, but may be mentioned in the text. Citation of a reference as “in press” implies that the item has been accepted for publication.
Web references
The full URL should be given and the date when the reference was last accessed. Any further information, if known (DOI, author names, dates, reference to a source publication, etc.), should also be given. Web references can be included in the reference list, at the end.
Reference style
In text: All citations in the text should refer to:

- Two authors: both authors' names and the year of publication (ex.: Buia and Prodan, 1956);
- Three or more authors: first author's name followed by “et al.” and the year of publication (ex.: Chifu et al., 2006).
Citations may be made directly (or parenthetically). Groups of references should be listed first alphabetically, then chronologically.
List: The References subtitle must be centered and typed in bold 10 pt. caps (ex.: REFERENCES). References should be arranged alphabetically and typed Times New Roman 8 pt., normal. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters “a”, “b”, “c”, etc., placed after the year of publication.

Peer-Review process:
These journal use double blind review system. Each paper will be reviewed by 2-3 independent reviewers. The editor will decide the acceptance or rejection of the manuscripts according to these reviews. Moreover, a paper may be rejected without external review if the editors think that it is unacceptable for publication. For more information on the peer-review process, please consult de web page of the journal.
To ensure the integrity of the blind peer-review for submission to this journal, every effort should be made to prevent the identities of the authors and reviewers from being known to each other. This involves the authors, editors, and reviewers checking to see if the following steps have been taken with regard to the text and the file properties:
- The authors of the submitted paper have deleted their names from the text, with "Author" and year used in the references and footnotes, instead of the authors' name, article title, etc. All information about the author/authors will be presented only on the first page of the submitted manuscript. We suggest to authors to use the third person to refer to work the authors have previously published. The documents will be send to the reviewers without any personal information about the author/authors.
- The editors will ensure that the feed-back from reviewers will not contain any personal information of the reviewers.
- With Microsoft Office documents, author identification should also be removed from the properties for the file.
For Microsoft 2003 and previous versions, and Macintosh versions of Word:
Under the File menu select: Save As > Tools (or Options with a Mac) > Security > Remove personal information from file properties on save > Save.
For MacIntosh Word 2008 (and future versions)
Under the File menu select "Properties".
Under the Summary tab remove all of the identifying information from all of the fields.
Save the File.
For Microsoft 2007 (Windows):
Click on the office button in the upper-left hand corner of the office application
Select "Prepare" from the menu options.
Select "Properties" for the "Prepare" menu options.
Delete all of the information in the document property fields that appear under the main menu options.
Save the document and close the document property field section.
For Microsoft 2010 (Windows):
Under the File menu select "Prepare for sharing."
Click on the "Check for issues" icon.
click on "inspect document" icon.
Uncheck all of the checkboxes except "Document Properties and Personal information".
Run the document inspector, which will then do a search of the document properties and indicated if any document property fields contain any information.
If the document inspector finds that some of the document properties contain information it will notify you and give you the option to "Remove all," which you will click to remove the document properties and personal information from the document.
For PDF files:
With PDFs, the authors' names should also be removed from Document Properties found under File on Adobe Acrobat's main menu.
Proofs and Reprints:
Proof will be sent to the first (or corresponding) author only once and it should be returned without delay. Corrections should be limited to typographical errors. Following publication, the first (or corresponding) author will be provided with electronic copy (.pdf) of the article. At this moment, our journal cannot ensure reprints. However, after the paper’s acceptance, the author (s) may solicit that number of the issue, by contacting the executive editor. For each issue, the fee is determined at the time of printing.
Recommendations:
The technical description of study methods should be given only if such methods are new; otherwise a short presentation is enough.
Avoid the presentation of same information as text and/or figure and/or table.
The submitted paper must not exceed 10 pages (illustration included) and must have an even number of pages. The Editorial Board can decide on the acceptance of papers with more than 10 pages.
Responsibility upon the articles content belongs to the author (s).
Manuscripts may be rejected without peer review if they do not comply with the instructions to authors or are beyond the aim and scope of the journal.
