Research Group in Invertebrate Diversity and Phylogenetics

About us

The invertebrate diversity and phylogenetics research group is based at the Faculty of Biology of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. We are a team of three academia members, two researchers, and several undergraduate and postgraduate students, all of us interested in the diversity and evolution of various groups of invertebrates.

Research

Our main focus are the parasitic wasps (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea and Platygastroidea) and beetles especially longhorn beetles and bean weevils (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae and Bruchidae) but also other groups such as tardigrades and scorpions.
